Randomly Found in the Open
Pal Souls are used for enhancing your Pal's stats at a Statue of Power, and may be found through various means. As of the moment, there is no efficient way to yet to farm since no consistent source yet has been found.
Like Pal Spheres, Pal Souls can be found on the ground appearing as transparent crystals with a glow inside them. Items on the ground will shine, so it'll be easy to spot from a distance.
You may want to start looking for chests or getting them as drops from Pals, however, since they are quite rare. Explore and keep an eye out for anything shiny you find out in the open!
Obtained from Chests
Pal Souls can be found in random chests throughout the world, the most common being Small Pal Souls. However, obtaining these chests are noticeably rarer than obtaining Pal Spheres, so you will have spend more time exploring.
Make sure to keep a lookout for chests in the environment. These may glow, but unlike random items on the ground, they do not shine as bright in the day.
Can Drop from Pals
Specific Pals may sometimes drop Pal Souls. Should need to double check, you can find whether a Pal drops a Pal Soul through the Paldeck.
Look for the Possible Drop section at the bottom-right, which is right under the Work Suitability section.
Bring Elphidran to Boost Drop Rate
Elphidran has the Amicable Holy Dragon Partner Skill which increases the number of items dropped by Dark-type Pals. Since most Pals that drop Pal Souls are Dark type, it's best to have it as your active Pal when looking for Pal Souls.

Can Drop from Humans
Humans are also likely to drop Pal Souls when defeated. This is more likely the case when you defeat human enemies during a Raid. Raids are random events where your base will be under attack by an approacing mob.
There are different ways to handle raids ranging from setting up defensive structures to assigning Pals that are trained for combat.

How to Use Pal Souls
- Build a Statue of Power
- Boost Stats Using Pal Souls
- Reset and Recover Pal Souls with Gold Coins
Build a Statue of Power
Structure | Requirements |
---|---|
Statue of Power | Tech Level: 6 Points: 2 Stone (x20) Paldium Fragment (x10) |
Pals do not interact with this structure. Place it where it will not interfere with a working Pal's path.
To use Pal Souls, you will need to have access to a Statue of Power. These can be found out in the open (like one in the Desolate Church). But these can also be unlocked at Level 6 in the Technology Tree, and will require Stone and Paldium Fragments to build.
The Statue of Power allows you to enhance not only your Pals' stats but also your Catching Power using Lifmunk Effigies. This will make it easier for you to catch stronger Pals out in the world.
Once the statue has been completed, approach it and select Enhance Pals.
Boost Stats Using Pal Souls
Pal Souls are used to enhance the stats of a Pal. This is desirable for those who wish to min-max a pal, and can be incorporated in breeding.
It is important to make sure you have decided on a Pal you want to boost the stats for, since resetting their stats cost a lot of Gold Coins depending on how much has been invested.
Pal Soul Increases Per Boost
Enhancement Boost | Pal Soul Cost |
---|---|
+3% | Small (x1) |
+6% | Small (x2) |
+9% | Small (x3) |
+12% | Small (x4) |
+15% | Medium (x1) |
+18% | Medium (x2) |
+21% | Medium (x3) |
+24% | Large (x1) |
+27% | Large (x2) |
+30% | Large (x3) |
Total Pal Souls | |
Small (x10) Medium (x6) Large (x6) |
Each point investment in an enhancement costs 1 more Pal Soul every time. Starting at the 5th bar, Medium Pal Souls will be required to make further enhancements.
The same goes for starting at the 8th bar where the rarer Large Pal Souls will be needed.
Reset and Recover Pal Souls with Gold Coins
Reset Price Computation | The price of your Pal Soul enhancement reset will depend on the sum per bar invested and the combined sums from these stat boosts.Example: Max HP (4 Bars): 1,000 + 2,000 + 3,000 + 4,000 = 10,000 Attack (5 Bars): 1,000 + 2,000 + 3,000 + 4,000 + 5,000 = 15,000 Defense (2 Bars): 1,000 + 2,000 = 3,000 Work Speed (1 Bar): 1,000 Max HP + Attack + Defense + Max Speed: Total: 29,000 |
---|
Above is the reset cost per bar. The more enhanced your Pal is, the higher the cost.
You can reset your Pal's Pal Soul enhancement and have your Pal Souls returned to you for the price of Gold Coins. Simply select an enhanced Pal and select the Reset tab to check the price of the stat reroll.
- The price of resetting only 1 bar costs 1,000.
- Resetting 10 bars, a fully enhanced stat (30%) wherein no other stat has a point, costs 55,000.
- A Pal with a maxed out enhancement in all 4 stats costs 220,000 to reset.
